HI, MY NAME IS CANDISE!

I'm a mixed methods UX researcher.

My first experience in UX research was through an internship at Harvard's Learning, Innovation, and Technology Lab, where I contributed to research on an AR technology for STEM education. Since then, I've had the opportunity to oversee UX research projects with National Science Foundation (NSF) startups and have led consultant research with high-profile international companies and institutes such as PayPal, Kakao, and Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). I've also built up a user research practice as Director of User Research at Redemption Games. Currently, I'm a senior UX researcher at NetEase Games, where I oversee the user research of our major games, such as Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, and support our 1st party studios.

I promise to always utilize a combination of quality user research and empathy to bring delightful experiences to users. Please free to contact me at any time via my contact page!

REDEMPTION GAMES

Redemption Games is led by Michael Witz and Dan Lin, a duo with a long history of building successful mobile games adored by millions. Redemption Games has received investments from large names such as Supercell, Scopely, and AppLovin. I conducted research on the team's new puzzle/story game from early development through release.

Designer

IMGIBBLE

Traditionally, remote content creation meant back-and-forth emails, long phone calls, and tedious memos to keep track of where revisions need to be made. IMGIBBLE is a web-based platform for collaborative, time-accurate, point-specific feedback among creators. I tested the usability of IMGIBBLE's beta platform.

Young People - Meeting With Computers

HARVARDX AND MITX (QUANT STUDY)

Women are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. To take the first step in addressing this inequity, I analyzed the differential user attrition rates between males and females in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Computer Science (CS) with statistical modeling.

HARVARD'S LEARNING, INNOVATION, AND TECHNOLOGY (LIT) LAB

Learning how to program can be difficult, and coding can appear abstract and far removed from its purpose for those who are just getting started. At Harvard's LIT Lab, we created and tested an AR technology that displays a programming system over its corresponding physical system in real time.
